The 2010 Thank A Cop Day will be held on Friday, April 16th this special appreciation program was created to honor the brave police officers who serve our state and citizens. The Tucson Police Foundation is inviting Tucson area residents to show their gratitude to law enforcement officers by encouraging them to bring a thank-you card to any one of five locations throughout Tucson. Local restaurants will also provide breakfast or lunch for the officers and employees of the Tucson Police Department.
"The Tucson Police Foundation is pleased to once again to promote 'Thank a Cop Day,'" said Rich Harper, Tucson Police Foundation Chairman. "The most important thing we can show our very special men and women in the arena of public safety is that they have our absolute support and appreciation. The Foundation wishes to thank those businesses which have provided their products and services to make this day special for all those in law enforcement."
Donations will be accepted to benefit the Tucson Police Foundation, the only official fundraising arm of the Tucson Police Department. Thank A Cop bumper stickers, "We Love TPD" shirts and TPF membership information will be available at all locations. The membership and donations received will provide the operating capital that enables the Foundation to provide necessary safety equipment to the Tucson Police Department.
